Raid Route

The day starts by filling our bellies with as many carbs as possible. We highly recommend all participants to consume AT LEAST seven pancakes before leaving shore.

All boats participating in the Raid will be leaving from the beach just south of the Boat School at 10am.

Hey! We’re not planning to check tides – you should! Take some responsibility for yourself. This is an ocean (technically) and there will be tides.

From the Boat School Campus the Raid will venture North.  Every so often pink flamingos will give way to miracles, provisions, and treasure. Pull up the anchors (if you dare)  and see what surprises await.

As the Raid approaches Port Townsend, plan to stop by the beach SIESTA at low tide in front of the Pourhouse for a bit of R&R.  The Raid crew will provide some light provisions, so plan to bring your own grub or pick some up.  Here we’ll gather numbers until 3pm- for the final leg to the PT Wooden Boat Festival.

Plan to land your boat on the beach between the Port Townsend City Pier and the Northwest Maritime Center Pier (just in front of Pope Marine Park).  Then join us  for drinks at the Boat School’s Alumni Happy Hour at the Wee Nip Bar from 5-8pm.

Why the flamingos?

Why the flamingos?

Floating flamingos mark the course and hold treasures below! Pull up the line if you ain’t scared.
